what does it even do
basically PassX lets u store website logins (site name, username, password) straight in ur browser. everything stays on YOUR device, nothing goes to any server or cloud or whatever. u can add stuff, look at it, copy it, delete it when ur done. super simple.
key features (the good stuff)
- local storage only, data never leaves ur machine
- add website + username + password easy peasy
- see all ur saved passwords in a nice lil table
- one click copy so u dont have to type em out
- delete button for when u mess up or dont need it anymore
- dark theme that looks cool
- no accounts, no login, no tracking, nothing
how it works (pretty obvious but whatever)
- open the site (or the index.html if u downloaded it)
- type in the website, username and password
- smash that Submit button and boom its saved in localStorage
- click the password or the copy thing to put it on clipboard
- hit delete if u wanna get rid of it
just remember its using localStorage so if u clear browser data or switch devices its gone. its not some fancy encrypted vault, just a chill lightweight tool for personal use.
tech stuff
just plain html css and js. no frameworks, no backend, no weird libraries. pure and simple.
